not if it is really close. I just had it happen to a rear wheel yesterday. Spun noise free on the stand. BUT if I put pressure on it by hand and spin the wheel It would rub. The wheels actually flex a pretty good amount, and mine are a set of quality wheels. I was surprised too. lol All you have to do is look at the weight and see if it has been rubbing. A quick and easy inspection so, I hope it's that simple.

Jack the car up, enough to get a wheel off the ground. Grab the tire at 3 and 9 oclock, shake. If there is any play, suspect a bad tie rod end. Confirm by watching it as you shake.
Change hand position to noon and 8 oclock, shake again. If there is any play, confirm the ball joint is bad in the LCA. If both shake, watch at hub to see if the wheel bearing is bad.
If it passes all those, look for elongations at attachment points for all steering and suspension parts.
I have a shiny nickel on the LCA's if you didn't put new ones in with the swapContact me for information about Festiva Madness!

Upper strut mount good?.... I once had a difficult suspension issue that turned out to be the strut mount lol
1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor
1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)
If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

When your cruising at a steady speed, say 55, and you let off the gas, then steadily re apply throttle, can you feel the car shift/jerk? Sort of feels like an automatic shifting..?2008 Kia Rio- new beater

Thumping noises are often result of a loose wheel (you've already checked that), bearings that are 'cooked' or loose, or driveaxles that are worn out. Get 'er off the ground and start spinning some wheels while turning the steering wheel. You cannot rule out a blown tranny but look at everything else first.
One other thing; noises that appear to be from the front may well be cooked bearings at the rear. Don't overlook that.
