Yup my main issue with say, the Raceland kit is that you end up replacing 70% of the parts in the kit anyway. Why spend all that money.

Can I ask why? Charlie (Advancedynamix) has put more abuse on the same exact setup I listed than most anyone on this forum will ever do to their Festiva regardless of suspension and it held up just fine with little to no issues.

Like said earlier, you can make the mk2/3 rear strut work, but its far from optimal as the strut body is too long for our car.

Your best bet is to piece everything together yourself and forget about the coilover kits. Mk2/3 struts in the front, with 2.5" coilover sleeves and springs. Mk1 struts in the back with 1 7/8 sleeves and springs. You can use 2.5" sleeves and springs in the back but then you sacrifice tire room.

could i still use the rear from an mk2? If so that would make this way easier.

well that is out of the question now. They dont have all the parts to do it at this time. They only do it if they happen to have them.

So what would my options be that would be like the raceland setup i linked from above?

I really like the thought of being able to easily adjust the ride.

I am talking to them to see if i can do front mk2 and rear mk1. Just no reply yet as its very early still.
If they will do that then go for it. But, you will need to get new springs for both front and rear. The springs that come on them will be way too high of a rate for the festiva.

Yeah then you need MK2/3 fronts and MK1 rears.

Further research shows that mk1 knuckles are thinner then mk2 by about 1/8 inch, so mk2 coils need a spacer between the knuckle and coilover

Sorry I forgot to specify. MK3 for the front. MK1 for the rear. Unless MK1 will work for the front but I am fairly sure they don't.
