Checked OReillys today, they can get a down pipe here monday morning ....$118 plus tax. Scary moment just a while ago. Stuck a battery in it to see what I had after the wire swap. All I had was headlights. Assume it was the main fuse. Took a small file and cleaned the fuse block and terminal ends still nothing but headlights. Looked around the battery and found a large guage white white that was unplugged, never noticed a spot to plug it in before. Dug around some more and found its counter part. Plugged the two wire togather and the auto seat belt started moving and both the front and rear wipers came on. Eureka !!! Tested all the lights, fans, horns, etc ( yes pural horns its a GL) it all works. As I said, it was a scary moment ! I added fluids, no leaks. Drained old fuel and added new, clutch cable and shifter linkage is hooked up. If I had a down pipe on it Id try starting it. Oh yeah found a leak in a brake line that will need repaired. Bought 30 inches of brake line and some compression fittings.Last edited by freshtiva; 04-25-2009, 04:34 PM.

Marcus, those rear shocks just looked different. If the distance from the lower bolt to the spring perch is the same, they should work. I guess Monroe just made them differently, which threw me.
As for the downpipe, I bought mine from AZ. I think it was a Bosal brand, for a stock '94 323. But that's been over three years ago. Maybe they won't be available now. That ebay picture looked like it could have been the one. Who knows? I'd try all the parts store just to see.

I just called them and he is seeing if they are in stock. If so, he said $165 cash 'n carry or $175 mounted and balanced. Bridgestones. It's an employee discount, and employees don't get charged for mount and balance, only tire disposal.
Stop the press. Guy just called, said they are on backorder but would know by next week if he can get a set from Chicago. Remind me in the middle of the week and I'll call him and see what the staus is.

That would work, how much for just the tires ? Id probably need to get them mounted locally.

Hey Fresh,
I can get you 165/65-13's mounted and balanced for $200, all 4. Just like on Levistiva that you saw at the Midwest Festiva Inc Quarterly Meeting in Mo.

Still needs new tires. Couldnt find any 185/60/13s today. I also waiting on a factory fuel filter I bought off ebay for $11 ( in came with an oil filter too ) Parts stores wanted $28 for the same fuel filter. I think its got here today but its at my parents house. Have to install cable and linkage, get a battery, drain old gas, put interior back in. Oh yeah get a down pipe and hook it up to the exhaust. And add fluids, hope I dont forget that. Then Im going to turn the key and see what happens. That will be a scary moment !!! Started on this March 7th ( not including the wire harness swap )so I might break the 60 day deadline. Ive spent a lot of time on this.

i use this method but put a full bottle of brake fluid upside down in the top of the master cylinder. this keeps the master full. use the quart size not the pint

That's the way I do all mine. Never have any problems. The only thing I do differently is to fill the bottle a bit so the bottom of the hose is in the fluid.
