$25 lense covers!

and they came with a spare pair thats cracked, but usable

also installed one of the 6 escort dome lights with map lights i got saturday
broke one of the tabs on my light covers within 5 min of them being on,
drilled two holes and used the screws that hold the marker lights on, they hold the
covers on good.
and replaced broken seat belt on pass. side

bro backed out, so I'm keeping it

long story, but i am keeping the blue monster!
After taking motor out and putting it back in 5-6 times
I finally got ALL leaks fixed!
the car runs and drives like it did, except for above average idle(1300)
put on 323 emblem,
installed new CD player
850 watt amp
JL12W7 sub
FIXED THE WIRING IN TAIL LIGHT COMPARTMENT!( bugged a few people at FM3)
installed bumpers: front and back
rebuilt swoopies and painted them
TONS OF MODS LEFT TO DO! "the right way"

putting BP on motor stand this coming up week.
Gotta take it apart, and go ahead and do all the seals,timing belt, water pump,etc.

Updates!

well, been busy lately working on car.
i have BP DONE!!! well, the seals and gaskets.
new:
cam seals
crankshaft seal
timing belt
timing belt pully and adjuster
water pump gaket
oil pump gasket
thermostat and gasket
oil pan gasket
valve cover gasket
dizzy oring
plugs
wires
cap and rotor
oil
filter
tb gaskets
pvc valve
rear main seal
fuel injector seals and orings

motor is clean "but needs painting" and ready for install "taking B3 out tonight"
gonna use stock clutch till funds are here for upgrade.

got the motor almost in!

after hours and hours of cleaning and buying parts,seals, and other
stuff, i got the motor in!
well, the 2 rear tranny bolts and the front one are in.
lowered crossmember with 6 spacers.

problem is I broke the only good drill bit i had.
so i got to wait till tomorrow to get another one and finish motor mount.
this is my progress as of right now.
should have it driving tomorrow afternoon if everything goes well.

got it installed, wont start.
made a thread explaining my problem.
on the other hand here is my PROTEGE SHIFTER.
seems to shortend the throw a lil. the part that bolts to linkage sticks down through floor bout extra inch.
the one on the left is stock shifter(no mods to get it to work.)

forgot to put boot on.

The car is alive!!!!!!

This thing is a beast compared to a stock B3!
After all my research and modding and fixing it RUNS.
Please keep in mind ITS NOT FINISHED!
Im just glad its driving. took it out for its first run.
WOW! I have just the stock dow pipe from the festy right now
till tomorrow when muffler shop opens.
It spun through 3rd at 3/4 throttle. then shifted into
4th and the speedo snapped! Never made it to 5th cause i was going too fast.
the shifter from the protege is AWESOME! way shorter feeling,
and in 1st and 2nd its not too far or close to the driver seat.
clutch never slipped cause i didnt give it TOO much thottle.
There are a few more things that needs to be finished
clamp for rad.
speedo fixed
muffler
wires tucked/finished
get adapter for air filter
new booster hose"mine is ugly"
recheck all nuts and bolts.

welded a straight pipe (2 1/4in) from down tube to back of car till i can drive it 35 miles to the nearest shop that will do my exhaust.
trying to decide what route to go on the muffler.
I drove it about 30 miles total today and it seems to run awesome!
once exhaust is complete I am gonna figure out the high idle.

im running the stock trans and clutch right now.
It seems to hold up with no more than 1/2 throttle
