Made a little bit of progress today, I wired in some non-heated O2 sensors (stock was 4-wire O2's) and now it'll idle on its own with the stock ECU so I can at least move it around under it's own power

Then I made some flanges for the final exhaust work and did some welding, I still need to get a 14" piece of 2-1/2" pipe in order to finish it up though... Once it's done I shouldn't have to worry about pissing off the neighbors lol

    Whys that?

I refuse to have a track-only car/trailer queen etc. If I cant drive it it aint worth having. Half the awesomeness of having a "fast" tin can is being able to drive it to the track, and maybe not whoop the built cars, but even just run close with them, and be able to drive home from the track while the race cars are loaded into trailers.

Lol I fully intend to keep my festiva as a road legal daily driver, if it becomes a track-only car, then I will get rid of it

If I had 2-300 hp at the wheels of a Q-ship Festy for even a day or two I'd probably already be in jail.
Just musing. Your mechanical aptitude and practical ability is inspiring to us mere mortals.

Well it's looking like it'll be about a month til it's drivable.... The probe that sits at my work, which put down 540WHP is finally getting stripped apart, long story short, im getting the built motor and the standalone, the motor needs ARP headstuds but after that, it's bulletproof.... I believe we'll be stripping it in 3 weeks and then it's just a matter of getting the standalone on my festiva and tuning it...... Wasted spark ignition, launch control drool

So once I get that beast of a motor, I'll be saving up for a turbo to move enough air to reach the 500+ HP that the motor is capable of handling, and then strengthening the chassis to handle that kind of power, it's gunna be a lot of work but well worth it lol
