awesome i thought it was a lil much at first but now im like this thing is way to slow ahaha i think im getting the boost disease i think the cycle goes get a lil faster get used to its power and then want to go a lil faster and so on, but i really just wanna turbo it and finish get full body paint be done with it of course i need some bigger wheels and tires aahah anyway im done hijacking toms/gregs awesome build thread

Yeah no hijacking my thread fool.

Anyhow, I got the FMU, and in line fuel pump installed. Also got the flange welded to the header. And ran the oil lines.
Also got the turbo put on, but it's going to take some changes to make it work.
I still have to wire up his gages and pumps,but this thing should be done by the end of the week.

RJ you gotta be ready to go to the track next wednesday sucka.

Trust me If you don't make the deadline, mine will be waiting I'll need all the help I can get. time is ticking. And I might wait to take Tom's car to the track till the meet.

I work outside in a T-Shirt in the 30s and 40s.:p Looking good though. Can't wait for more updates. :thumbright:

Yeah I'm just used to 70+ degrees.

Greg you just cant make folks understand that 40 here and 40 there feel COMPLETELY different.
Because coming from Michigan I can attest to being outside in Tshirt and shorts when its 40 up there. Down here? No damn way!

I know what the difference is, I moved here to Colorado from Texas, and the first winter was brutal.

Daily Update

Well........It's time for the daily update on Tom's car.

I hope to have it done by the end of the week.

I got the FMU piped in, and the inline fuel pump (MSD 255lph)





Belt, and alternator on......clearance is lookin' good........................





Intake is a little close, but has enough clearance.................................





And here is a sad picture of the "parts car of the year" ......................................





Got the flange welded to the header. It goes small at the flange. We are leaving the catalytic converter but I think we will be able to get good numbers. I made my b8 turbo breathe thru this same size flange.




Installed, and bolted up..............................








And here is a picture of the first test fit of the piping. I say "test fit" because we are keeping the battery in the stock location. I might have to reduce the size of the piping to clear both the radiator, clutch cable, and battery tray. I'm sure I'll make it work somehow. Where's my sawzall?????? I tried using a stock EGT intake pipe to clear but I have a feeling I'll go to metal piping.
