    B3 is out.

I feel semi-accomplished. Two engine pulls in two days. I don't really do this stuff often.

Also my dad seems kinda enthused about using the Capri trans now instead of waiting. If I can get some extra help from him I may have it in there instead of the festy trans.

Take the extra time and use the G trans you will be happier in the long run! Better clutch selection and not as bad torque steer.

Yeah, it looks like that is whats happening anyway. I just need a clutch set and flywheel for it now...

                Some of todays progress...

Got the last of the wiring I needed out of the Capri. Going by Chris Rummel's writeup, the small bundle of wires pointing up is all I need, right? Theres the big blue +12v, two big green fuel pump wires, CEL wire, switched +12v, and a couple grounds.
Can I cut off the big bundle pointing right?

Theres also the small green plug from in front of the drivers side strut tower. The big blue wire broke off inside the plug (lots of corrosion) so I will have to figure out how to repin it or just do away with the plug and hard-wire.

I also ordered a new clutch set off ebay, the old one is toast...

The new one is a "XTD Stage 3 Race Clutch" I was recommended. $157 shipped on ebay. Shouldn't be too aggressive.

Tomorrow I think I'm going to try swapping over the Capri front knuckles. I've done a lot of reading on here and from what I gather they are pretty much direct bolt-on if you have Capri axles, otherwise you have to use Aspire LCA's. True? My Festiva's drivers side caliper is completely locked up, and the Capri brakes are in really good shape, I'll just replace the bearings.

use the aspire LCAs, it'll give you more camber. and easier to replace axles later on.

Kind of dead in the water at the moment... stumped trying to figure out mounts.

                    Very frusterating.

And yes, I've been reading every thread about the mounts religiously for what seems like an eternity.

i was just about ready to flip out making my mounts... i found that using cardboard spacers to get the spacing on the steering rack and frame rail worked out good... then use string to keep it from moving... then take out the cross member each time you need to get the mounts out... it takes less time to take out 4 bolts than lift the whole motor and get it back in the same spot next time...

How much bashing did you have to do on the frame rail?

Has anyone ever swapped the entire Capri cradle over? Or is it too long?

                                No, not really.

I have the wiring done, except for the check engine light. Apparently that wire splices into a blue with black stripe from the b3 ecu plugs, but I cant quite decide which blue with black stripe to splice into lol.

Got my 626 5th gear from azgtx on teamcapri. Pretty easy swap and should drop 5th gear rpms by a few hundred.

Im gonna have to run up to Ypsilanti some time for a pair of capri hubs to replace mine. $60 for the pair according to car-part.
