          • hey greg, dose your MS kit have a air intake temp sensor with it? if so put in the MS kit first and run it to see how high the intake tems are with the rear turbo... i wonder how well that big pipe works for an intercooler... then later see how much the intercooler helps

              • ^His kit should have a IAT censor as it is the same kit I bought.

                • Yeah I have already welded in the iat, and would like to see my temps before an intercooler. I just went and looked and it's gonna be almost impossible to mount my intercooler with my a/c lines.

Now the big DEBATE ??? Should I ditch the a/c? Hmm I do have other cars that I could DD with a/c, but I like being able to drive my car all year long in Florida heat.

I know the car would go faster with less weight......

                  Should I?

                  • Keep the A/C put in a top mount intercooler, or a couple smaller side mounts in.

                    • I say keep the ac, you can find room for an intercooler else where

Thats a thought. I've just wanted to dump the a/c for 1/4 mile times I wanna make it further up the list.

                        • Well what do they say every 100 lbs is a 10th a second? So what would taking off the a/c do for you save you .050 of a second? If you are worrying about the belt slowing down the revs, you could take it off at the track for your runs.

You could always add some sort of meth injection instead of a intercooler right?

Your car would then be just another very-fast Festiva, not the fastest with A/C. The MS system will give you all you can want anyway; 15 lbs of A/C stuff won't matter. You'll want to be the fastest on the dragstrip with A/C on, won't you?

                              • I just want an intercooler for higher boost levels. I know I can make up for the weight by adding 2 lbs. of boost.

I'll install the megasquirt and see how it does then.
