If you're getting a puddle below the MC on the ground, then there's got to be a leak. (He said, stating the obvious) Double check where the MC mates with the booster, and where the reservoir plugs down into the MC. They are kind of notorious for leaking there. Also wouldn't hurt to closely inspect the gang valve where the lines from the MC connect with the hard brake lines going to the wheels. Just a couple of thoughts.

Looks like your project is off to a good start. Always a good feeling when it moves under its own power for the first time.

Ok, update time! Very good update time!!

Today I took the master cylinder off the red car, and brought it to town where the blue one sits, picked up my friend, and we changed the master cylinder, bled all the brakes, and got all the air out of them all! And we found out that the puddle was tranny fluid, not brake fluid, so I had to find the leak. It ended up being the axle seal, so we went up town and picked one up, luckily they had it on hand. Then once we got that on, we put the axle back in and put it all back together. Filled her up with tranny fluid again, and drove her home!!

The brakes still aren't perfect, but I think I just need to bleed the MC some more, then it should be fine.

Started working on the old girl tonight, painted the wheels black, and changed out the Ignition Control Module from the parts car, hopefully that will keep it from not wanting to start after it's warm. I'll have to put a new fuel pump in, and clean out the tank, I put the fuel pump in from the parts car last year, and my brother came over and spilt dirt into the tank, so it needs to be taken out and cleaned. But, that's for another day!

other than that front mounte getting prettied/welded the rest of the way up and the lower portion set in place/drilled the trans is all mounted up.

Thanks to Mextiva on the front mount design, i copied his version of the mount (hopefully itll look half as nice as his finished!). The rear is the stock capri mount with the locking tab cut off and the bolt going through the top hole on the stock crossmember.

Also got the engine harness wired up, and other than it needing a MTX TPS everything there should be on good order (oh yeah, dont forget to put the festiva temp sensors on, i dont think i got to that part!)

I've heard it said that when doing custom work, it's ok to copy others, just make sure you're copying the best.

Did you guys need to/will you need to clearance the firewall?

                                Thanks again guys

zoom zoom: It is looking that since we're using the G-5mr tranny, that we will not have to clearance the firewall, because the g-series sits towards the front of the car more, unlike the stock tranny. Using the stock tranny is where you need to clearance the firewall.
