Crap i forgot...Hooked another coil up...Still no fire. Power to coil though not out of it. The coil came from a running festiva....I bypassed the fuel pump relay, because icouldnot get power to that also.

I followed all the write-up but i have having some trouble.

    Any advice?

Is there power on the ground side of the coil? I've had 2 of my swaps do that.

Hey Wes, this may be lame but I just remembered that the fuel pump switch is in the VAF assembly, dont know what youve got going on but if you have an alternative set up maybe the fuel pump isnt getting power for lack of a switch. Just a stab.

If he just did a jumper on the fuel pump plug then the pump will be on when the key is on. The original way was the pump worked when cranking. Or when you would move the maf flap.

My fuel pump comes on constant in the acc position and stays on while cranking/start position.

Trying to figure out the coil issue and having power on the ground side...and nothing out of the coil to disty..

Well the negative side is what runs a tach so you would have power on that side. (imo)
What all do you have to do to the harness to run the b6? Maybe some thing is in wrong spot?
I have never messed with with the b6 stuff so i am in the dark on it. I do have a b6t harness that is uncut i could go though and follow wires to see.

What I did when mine did that is splice into one of the ecu grounds and run it to a good ground and it fired right up. I'll try to go take pics of it this afternoon.

(ignore my crappy solder and tape job its my beater and I was in a hurry)

Check the 2 ground wires on the smallest ecu connector for continuity to ground. If they dont splice into them and run a wire to ground. Also I just remembered that the first time I wired up my swap I didn't hook up the power wire for the injectors and that caused it to not have spark.

So you spliced these two black red stripe wires to the negative side of the coil? And you still let the yellow/green/blue striped wire there in it's place? My injector harness is plugged in. I have checked it numerous times...

Or you spliced those wires and ran it into a chassis ground?

Spliced them and ran them to ground.
