          • Question- how strong is the foam, and how does it stay on the body? It just looks like you could kick chunks of it off to me...

                • That is quite the machine! I'm dying to hear what the emissions-testing guys will have to say when you roll in with it. And what your insurance company does when they find out it's got the equivalent of 5 stock engines in it. And, with no back seats I guess it also officially becomes a sports car.
You are going to drive it on the road, yes?

Correct , im currently making the molds , halfway done. Then all the foam is going in the garbage.

                    • From the previous page:

Navid: They only made 7 original shoguns , theres one in Jay Leno garage , one in a museum in the south east US , and the rest is almost anyones guess.

The powertrain is from a 89-95 Ford Taurus SHO (Yamaha built 3.0 or 3.2 V6 making 225hp stock with the redline at 7500 rpm) , The SHO (taurus) is available anywhere in the USA or Canada - more in the US. If you want to buy a powertrain I suggest you to join the shoforum.

The SHO engine was used in the original , and Im also using that engine , but im making it Turbo.

Basement modder : The foam is not staying , its only to mock up to make molds out of it , then cast fiberglass parts in those molds. The foam will be destroyed.

                      • Don't worry about the orange peel in the primer (prev. page) you can sand it easily. By now you must have killer biceps :p

                          • My molds are done and I have cast all my parts in fiberglass. Now its a matter of making them straight , spray some epoxy primer on them and fabricate the hooking points to attach to the car.

At this point , since I want to sandblast the car , to make it as close as a show car , I think its safe to say that it wont be completely done until next spring.
