If a 16 year old can do a b6t swap then you surely can do the b8. Good luckOriginally posted by lanemeyer14 View PostWow man, jealous! My b8 swap project has been sitting for over a year now waiting to be finished

I'm saving up for either the same setup or a BPT swap... depends on availability and cash-flow when I get ready for it... Considering I have plans to move to Baltimore in June (or there abouts) I'm not going to be doing it till after I'm settled and have a square budget for things (like rent and insurance and stuff)Andrew Walker

I'm sure I could get it done, but the car has been sitting at a friend's house about an hour away ever since it broke down. Haven't had any time to get over there due to my work schedule and his schedule with opening up a motorcycle shop. I'll get it done soon hopefully.....I'm ready to get rid of the civic I've been driving!Originally posted by Grey Vw View PostIf a 16 year old can do a b6t swap then you surely can do the b8. I made a mount similar to the engine mount on the cam gear side and it bent the crap out of it. Your probably going to have to brace it better but weld it up and try it see if you have the same problem I had. Looks like u need to make a write up on this thing since you did it in only a few weeks. Looks good. I sort of wished I had gone with a Bp because of all the wiring but It's not as hard as everyone makes it out to be.
I was thinking it was a little thin for that, bracing is easy though. Week long breaks from school really helps getting stuff done. I wish I had been writing everything I did but I didn't know what I was doing or if I was doing it right half the time, doing a writeup now would be pretty hard since I already have everything in, I definitely will try to do a write up since It would have helped tremendously. The track doesn't open till late February or early MarchOriginally posted by Flyin4stroke View PostI made a mount similar to the engine mount on the cam gear side and it bent the crap out of it.
