After seeing what you did with the klze festiva I really wanted that gtx in your hands. I don't know how many were sold in Canada but I think only 1700 were sold here. Good job so far and thanks for the updates!

He's a retired old man...but lets just put it this way. He's had his 64 fairlane altered wheelbase project laying around longer than either of us have been alive for. Its barely a rolling chassis at this point and I personally don't look for him to finish it in his lifetime.

He also has a 65 comet cyclone that runs and drives but needs a full restoration. He has a maxed out 289 for it. He bought it a couple years back because it was the first car he ever bought new.

And then there's the 64 falcon roller he bought to be my brothers first car like 13 years ago, sold, and then bought it back this year over 10 years later. This ones actually pretty nice. Almost no rust.

And then 'my' 81 fairmont coupe that was supposed to be our project but never really got anywhere. Have a mild 351c and c4 for that one.

Just too many projects for the old man. He's gonna be 68 and just can't do it all.

IIRC the total number imported to North America was 1,243

It's been confirmed that as of last summer there were only 550 remaining on the road in the U.S.

I want one....with a bg gtr drivetrain though.

Though I'd definitely go for a stock one too...well winterized though. I don't want it to rust away.

So today i started on the gas tank, i knew it needed to be cleaned out on the inside so i started there first

                              Just gross

:puke: all the crap that came from the tank

My assumption is that there was a small amount of gas left in the tank whenever it was pulled and the gas just turned into this slucge crap that i am working on cleaning out

After i scraped out as much as i could i poured a couple litres of fresh gas into to break down the remaining sludge so it'll hopefully clean up the rest of the way to a point where i'm comfortable using it

But on a good note, after i poured the fresh gas into it, i tilted the tank to check for leaks around the seam and it all checked out great, no leaks at all!!

what the heck is a litre???

                                LOL!

How long did it sit apart? I gotta check out my protege tank I guess... I don't think it sat for as long as a year though.
