I was gonna say, a stock reflanged bp manifold will be dragging the turbo on the street. You will be happy with that saab t3 on the bp. Thats the turbo I have and its a beast at only 8 psi.

          Any thoughts?
Is this the same engine that got new piston rings but the cylinders didn't get honed? And that the head was not even decked? I would make sure it can handle the increased pressure.

Run it! One way to find out just how knackered it is

He said he honed the cyls. I believe him. He has a nice shop to work out of, no reason for it not to happen. Heads dont always need to be milled. If they're flat, they're flat.

New galant rotors came today, 10.5", even bigger than the 10.2" Xr2 rotors. The main benefit is the thickness. These things are THICK! Gotta get some EGT calipers for them. I guess I'll be getting the loaded ones on rockauto for like $45 apiece since my junkyard wants $35 apiece for used...

Got super lucky and found a pair of reman loaded calipers on rockauto for $62 shipped! That's almost ten bucks cheaper than a used pair from the junkyard that id have to pull.

Also ordered my civic rad/fan and cheapo gauge set. The gauges are by "accurate instruments" and were just under $50 shipped. Electric oil and water with volts and senders. The pod should fit well under the ash tray.

Still need the fuel pump, wideband setup, and I may get ty's srt intercooler.

Wasn't trying to say you got a bad deal, just make sure you know what you have before you boost that baby From what I can recall, his for sale ad said that nothing was done to the block except for rings and that the head didn't need any work (as in no valve job (planning on keeping pressure?), didn't remove the gunk in the HLAs, etc.) and that he put synthetic oil with new rings!

Just looking out. Sounds like you are having a lot of fun with the build!

Just think of how happy you'll be once you put all of those new parts on. Gonna need an extra G25. :-)
