thanks guys. the focus tires are 275/40 17's in the back and 215/45 17's in the front.

plans for this festiva is something as reliable as possible and super good milage. maybe be turbo may be not. havent decided. when i get the focus done i would like to get another festiva and do a zetec swap.

the handleing is like a go cart. i put rubber on top the springs, greased the strut bearing, and put limit straps on it. still needs more shock for those springs. probably going to put another set on it off my mustang rearend lol

awesome! festivas are so universal you can use almost any kinda shock in the back. a mustang shock would be great because they are heavy and prob can handle a big heavier of a spring!

I read that whole build thread on that beast and i'm impressed with the work done on that focus :thumbright:

                          1988 323 GT - B6T Powered

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

i have decided to do a bp swap on my festiva. i just like the way they drive to much not to and im only getting 37max mix driving with the b3.

so i have done some work to it recently to make the car deserving of a bp lol. new front struts, lower control arms with swap bar bushings, inner and outer tie rods. and put a rear strut brace on the car that i used to have on the focus. also painted the hood, grill, cowl, top, and hatch semi gloss black b/c all my clear was flaking off. restored the black on the bumpers. removed that horrible factory tint too. i think that is all

will be starting with a bp (possibly rebuild it) with stock trans and clutch. when something fails, cv/clutch/or trans itself then i will switch to a stronger trans.

Sweet! You'll be happy with a BP for sure, very easy swap

How's the focus coming along? I haven't checked your thread in a while lol

I almost feel that with the amount of work that you did with the focus, the BP swap will be too easy for you. You might have to turbo it once it's running.

Exciting to see you back on the project.
