its ok. i deliver 12hrs a day in town. with that much driving i think i need a g or f series trans. it will hold in the morning and normal driving is fine but by the end of the day it will not hold full power full revs any more

How's that el-cheapo $100 (Bahnhoff?) clutch doing?? I'm thinking about getting one, but waiting to see what experience others have....
BTW- If I had a big nose crank pulley, I'd give it to you. At least your customers are
assured to get a "hot" pizza!

i got my new clutch in this morning. pedal feel is even lighter than that cheap advance clutch i had in it before. it says to break in for 500 miles so i hope it will hold better

i have a buddy with a boosted SOHC B6 ,running an f series very succesfully. maybe a little underpowered compared to the BP, but it has one of those spinnie whistle things

its really crazy how small they are. i was not surprised at all that it wouldnt hold the bp lol. the f series isnt much larger which is really weird for a trans that will hold the bp with a stock clutch. it has to be right on the edge

pm sent
got the new clutch in today. here are some pics. looks to be pretty good quality for a 100 dollar aftermarket clutch from an unknown company lol.
i hope to get this installed sun and find out how good it is.

Only one way to find out is what i always say. i put in a brand new oem clutch and it slipped the first time i shifted fast with about 70 miles on it, should have given it a longer break in period. I have a known GOOD F series minus a TOB id let go on the cheap cheap because id have to ship it, if your interested. PM me.

yeah it will probably explode. but i cant go more than 1/2 throttle. if i accelerate harder than the b3 it slips. so it makes having the bp pointless. im still in the market for a f series. if i see one i'll get it but in the mean time this will have to work

im predicting you would have been better off with the stock clutch that will slip instead of breaking the E series. i had 100 miles on a BP swap and just floored it at about 3K in first and BANG!!!! but i didnt have the 2 lower bolts in the L starter bracket and it snapped the case all the way around so it makes me think........charlie1717 has had a BP+E series for i believe 20K+ with no breakage.

for some reason it wont let me edit my post but my vacuum routing was all screwed up. i just guessed on it b/c it had no lines and both solenoids were broken when i got it. but i looked on the protege manual and rerouted every thing and it works correctly now.
i kinda like the idea of vics b/c i need the most city milage i can get b/c im a delivery driver and drive over 100 miles per day in town. jason switched to a turbo mani on his bp festi and his mileage went down like 5mpg with it

Personally if I were to do another BP swap, I'd most likely delete the VICS lol I did it to my KL festiva and I'm happy with it like that lol
