ok thanks. im pretty sure they are.
found out today that vics wasnt working. one of my vacuum ports on the bottom of the solenoid was broke off. i had a spare so i put that on there and it works now. as long as i have the lines routed correctly and it isnt working backwards lol.

I'm not too sure how to test it, I believe the selonoids act as a vacuum switch for the actuators, and the selonoids are controlled by the ECU, so maybe by simply revving it up passed 3k rpm you can see them move?

how can i test to make sure my vics is working. at idle should i be able to close the door by hand? or should it have a vacuum being applied at idle

my bp just got the exact same mileage on my last tank as the b3 did on its last. i had to drive the bp just like i did the b3 to get it, shifting below 3k all the time. 33mpg in town only driving. my first 2 tanks on the bp were 31 but i wasnt driving it like the b3 lol, it wants to rev past 3 hell it wants to rev past 5 and the b3 does no good to rev pass 4 lol.
bad news is the clutch will no longer hold interstate acceleration. it will do b3 acceleration to 75 and hold fine. if you try to accelerate pass 75 in any gear even 5th it will slip. going to pap wed to look for a f series
is the 323 with the cable clutch the car i also need the axles from?

Yes, its the Duralast Gold rated at 340 ccas and ever since I tightened up my loose alternator belt, its been working flawlessly. Its actually fatter than a Civic battery but height and length is shorter so it fits really well, I've got 1 inch clearance between the bottom of the battery and the water pump pulley, but the battery is tight and doesn't move at all.

no i havent started on them yet. im getting every thing else working first before i worry about modding. gotta get the trans to hold the power, ac to work, and cooling system working right.
after i get that i'll start on my header and 3" exhaust
what battery are you using in the teal bp festi in your sig? is that a lawn and garden batter from autozone? one of the 300cca ones? how well is it working for you?Last edited by tls_zx3; 05-06-2012, 01:59 PM.

Tls Zx3, have you welded the two BP headers yet, if so, how much are you selling the extra one?

i'll probably go with the 323 cable f b/c i dont want a 410 gear. i want the highest gear i can get. if i could find a 280 i would get that lol.
as for the civic radiator ive only found one pic of one on a festiva and it was just mocked up and not actually installed. just kinda sitting there. i went ahead and just bought a new fan b/c mine locked up. i'll worry about the rad if mine wont keep it cool this summer. im thinking its going to work b/c i ran it all day yesterday w/o the fan with it 92 outside and drove 100miles in town. it never got hot at all

02 kia rio 5 speeds are cable f series with 4.105 fdr. I have one in my living room right now, and I compared measurements off it to measurements off a friends F series via skype awhile back. 26 spline diff

I know the non-turbo 88-89 323's had the cable F series, that'd probably be the easiest to look for
I know people have used civic rads but I can't find any pics right now though
