bought mine pre-made for a suzuki Samuri, I just swapped a few things around and made a jumper harness to an aspire ecu plug I robbed from Fastorbust's old aspire ecu. (same as BP harnesses too) It should make my carb to FI conversion much easier.

Yeah the MegaStim is a "stimulator" that simulates an engine connected to the 'Squirt unit. It has variable inputs for the sensors, and output LED's so you can run the squirt through the courses and test functionality long before ever hooking it up to a car.
It's a little extra but well worth it IMO - you might be able to pick up a pre-assembled used one somewhere.

Way too much headache for me, I can solder, and I've fixed computer motherboards before, but I'm going to be lost just figuring out how to repin my aspire socket over to a BP socket.. then you still have to figure out the software. I think it would be easier and worth the time to pay someone else like lex who has done it a few times to make my job easier. With a MS at least you'll be able to get it tuned perfect, no matter how many gadgets and bypasses you put on a stock ecu its not going to be as good as it could have been.

Well I have not soldered much but I could practice!!! And by megastim, you mean the box that acts like it's plugged into the car? It would be well worth it to assemble your own kit and if future problems arose you would know how to fix your own stuff, or upgrade!

It's actually ridiculously easy providing 2 things:
1. You have half-decent soldering skills
2. You can follow directions
Other than that - it's take numbered part, solder into board at correct numbered location. The assembly guide breaks it down into several sections, with test procedures after each section. This way if something does go wrong, you only have a few steps to backtrack to find the problem.
If you just throw it together blind and don't bother to use the MegaStim for any testing prior, then yeah it'll be a pain to troubleshoot. No stress otherwise

It would be awesome for experience to build a mother board. I'd be so stressed out the whole time thou. Don't mess up..... Dont mess up.....don't mess up
