FRX Festiva with a first GEN RX7 drivetrain

Every time I see a smashed up GSL SE for sale on CL I think about building a car like this. The 1st gen RX7 has the same track and only a 1" longer wheelbase than the Festiva! I always loose motivation when I tell myself to just buy an FC, turbo it and keep the festiva innocent. I'm very interested in how this works out. There are a bunch of strange little cars that have been converted to rotary, and they are all a blast to watch go around the track. Check out "20b turbo swap" on youtube! MADNESS!:p

Turbo Rotary ? and post pics (when you have received permission ) of the under carrage.. i wanna see the drivetrain setup.

He took 2 years on the fessup. It will likely take that long on this. He's 75 (I think) and takes his sweet time.

i might have a old fuji, you will need a cable though, it took good pictures but had a funny storage card. If i dont find it i will donate $5.00 to the cause

See if you can get it! I will take care of all the uploads and just leave it with him. I have an old fuji usb cable. It may work. When you say card is funny do you mean funny size. Like micro xd? Or funny not working?

Thanks Aaron. It was cool to see an engine rotor divorced from its engine! Now I know (roughly) how the seals work, whereas before I was totally clueless.

^^ Paul, I've got a Sony Mavica FD83 I'd be willing to donate. It's pretty old school and saves the images on a 1.44MB disc but it takes decent pics, is easy to use, and is in almost new condition.

This thing still has all the stickers on it and I took REALLY good care of it so I'd rather see it go to a good home than try to get 15 bucks for it on Ebay. I'm almost ashamed to admit what I paid for it back in the day
