Why you say that? I have Toyota COPs and a BP miata CAS for my build. I would imagine it would be easy to get it to work.

Thoughts on building a drag car...

I think it requires circuit board work in order to run coil on plugs, except for MS3 which just needs wiring work

I'm still a newb with the MS stuff so don't quote me on that

      1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
      1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Stratified Automotive Controls 1991-95 Ford Escort GT (BP Powered) PNP Standalone ECU [0100-0011.1 (Ford Escort FWD)] - Fully Assembled Plug and Play Engine Management System for 1991-95 Ford  Escort GT vehicles with the BP or BP-T, engines based on the MSII processor **Installation and Setup Instructions** Please note, this unit is designed for Mazda/Ford BG chassis 5spd vehicles with harnesses that have the 3 wire TPS (Non variable). All

Pretty sure JT is running COP in his car..with a miata CAS. Obviously this doesn't apply to a KL.

We recently got an innovative gearhead/playboy on board that bolted a motorcycle Hayabusa into a Festy for relatively uncomplicated mid-engine and rear wheel chain-drive. If this is a dedicated track car you're planning and money is no object then maybe a second bike engine right up at the front would really make a Festy tear up the pavement.
          We can dream, right?

            ^uhhh alright.

Yeah I thought I read it was 1 wire that needed to be put into the megasquirt.

Pansies! Populating a pcb (printed circuit board) with SMCs (Surface Mount Components) is only marginally more difficult than THCs (Thru Hole Components)! MSv3 can certainly support COP, just needs a router. Should be able to use the GPIO board, or a version of the other stand-alone router (flip/flop) I saw posted here.
