    • I'm driving the festiva as much as I can to keep the miles down on the mazda, for warranty reasons.

        • yeah yeah, lol.

          I actually did do some work on it today. I finally got the driver's shaft end out of the differential. Then I replaced the axle seals and installed the IM shaft. I also put the axle driver's axle back together, minus a CV shaft boot clamp. I have to swap over to the GTR intake manifold, add my Drilled and tapped oil pan, and the banjo fittings for the turbo oil line, then I can put the motor back under the hood. I am trying to decide if I want upgrade the clutch or not...

              I probably should swap it out but I am trying to get it done in a hurry and the one in there isn't that old. I have to check on the one I have in a box somewhere and see if it's going to be worth the time to throw in there...

                I needed some loctite for the clutch bolts otherwise I'd have it back together as well.

                • haha, I want that intake manifold.. and the exhaust mani lol...that things gonna be sweet, you still using planning on using the garrett or did you manage to find a holset?

                  • it's a Garrett on there right now but I'm working on a Holset for when I build the BP.

                    I may or may not be using the manifold, depending on if I can get an EWG added to it easily. Gotta check clearances first.

                    • any way you could delete the cross brace and feed a pipe up between the manifold and the head between cyl 2&3? lol, it would look sick tho.. I couldn't use that anyway without redoing the gather pipe and fitting a T25 flange on it..

                          Clutch kit is in and the engine and trans back together:



                          Had to swap out the auto BP pan for the 5 speed one I had drilled and tapped for the turbo drain back:

                          Bonus! Have an engine with the main bearing support plate in it already

                            Where should I drill and tap my auto pan? is there a good spot for it? I've got the drill bit and tap for it.

                              there is a place for it where the bpt is tapped its in the same spot as he has pictured

                                you should drill and tap it in the manual pan.

                                Auto pan does not have a boss on it for an oil drain back.

                                you could probably make due anywhere but it will be thin. make it as high as possible closer to the trans.
