I was able to use the stock radiator fan. Had to bend it just a little to get the distributor on, but I got it in there. Haven't seen anybody else running the stock fan. Maybe mine is a little further back then yours.

I see. I had to notch the frame and cut both shift rods. (oddly enough the amount I took out of one rod was the right length to add to the other) Seems to be no real set place these motors end up. Ha!

This first picture is a modified festiva shifting arm compared to a stock shifting arm. I hadn't finished welding at this point but wanted to take the picture before I forgot.

The following are some pictures of the car.

Car goes to the shop tomorrow to get an exhaust built for it.

Hot molten metal loves to go to the most uncomfortable places. I hate it when they bounce into my ear, I can hear the sizzle!

Drove it today. It is loud without an exhaust. Fan cycled properly and it seems to run smooth. While tacking my shifting rod into place so I could finish welding it outside of the car, a hot ball of metal went flying, burned through my sweatshirt and t shirt and then landed in my belly button. I got a nice burn in there now. It still hurts and that was over 10 hours ago.

Anyway, only things left to do is get an exhaust put on, air filter installed, fix the speedo cable, and get some descent tread on her. Also registration and insurance.

I was disappointing with the tranny. I have to hold in third while it is engaging otherwise it will grind third. Once it is rolling it stays in gear.

I have some pics, and will upload them later.

Yep, and I talked someone else in to going. He is going to follow me in his festiva.
