Awww...Markus, I wanted to help you swap that.
It seems my engine decided to croak at a bad time for me to drive out your way and help. Shucks...just shucks!
I'll be doing my own engine swap. Just paid for a B6 at a place right here in town, it is being shipped in. Pick up day is friday. 83,000 miles and cheaper than the one I was about to go get.

Good luck, and godspeed with your build!

You do know the EGT trans is hydro clutch right? and that the capri int. shaft hanger bearing bracket is not a direct bolt up to the BP as well right? the bolt holes are roughly 1 inch offset, i believe it was due to the wider wheel base from the EGT chassis, best bet is to do a "mock-up" while the engine/trans is out of the car

Either way i'm sure you'll do a great job on the swap :thumbright:
Thanks Kid, thats exactly what I need. Id like to avoid as much rework as possible. I did know about that, adding metal to the middle shaft bracket and drilling some new holes to match the block. I probably will have some ?s so thanks in advance for any help.

I think we could make a deal ! Dont want to ship the B3 ( its a low mileage motor thats never been hot ) but have lots of other stuff, including a factory cruise set up.

I was thinking about that bad timing today. I sure could have used a hand today. The getting up and down for something kills me. Just someone to hand me tools and humor me would be a great help. Congrats on the motor, it all worked out for the best !!

My final act today was to clean about 1/2" of sludge out of my 20 gal. parts cleaner and adding new parts cleaning fluid. That stuff aint cheap !!

The EGTs last mile. Wished Id bought an EGT when they were new. Nice car !!

Brand new cleaner fluid in the parts cleaner. Hopefully the solvent doesnt cause cancer, birth defects, and esp. impotence. Bought 10 gals at a silent auction for $11.57.

Those Escort seats are comfy in a festiva! (to me at least... Mel doesn't like them as much as the worn out seats in the GL lol)
            No festiva for me ATM...

FestEvil has protege seats, I like them too, but they are flatter than the escort ones the backs are fine but the base doesn't cushion as well. Still nice though!

What are the plans for the EGT after ripping out it's heart? B3 it and get 40MPGs?

Did you really have to phrase it like that ? Guess I'll sell all the parts I can and haul the rest to the scrapper. I got a couple of festiva shells to take with it.
                        Need anything ?

Marcus, does the EGT still have the front fog lights? I need those, and I wouldn't mind having the wheels either if you were parting with them/had a way to get them to MN haha.

Redford should like his new drivetrain tho after all this!

It does have fog lights, I might keep them. The wheels have some nice goodyears on them Id sell after I get through moving the car around. Shipping would cost too much.

Im getting back at it today. The escort is kicking my butt. A/C, Power steering, cruise control. To much junk, makes me appreciate the festiva. Yesterday my BPPV ( no pun)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benign_...tional_vertigo was acting up. Crawling around the car and craning my neck and eyes seems to make the condition worst.

                                Question:
How do you unhook the fuel lines going to the rail. They have a clip on the connections. Ive removed the clips but cant pull the fuel line off. I'll get a pic if no one knows what Im talking about.
