Here is the last car I bought for a stock car it's a 1963 Chevy II with a 230 engine + a powerglide transmission (2 speed auto). I don't think I'm going to use the car to race (it's a unibody) but I'm sure i'm going to use the powerglide. I also have an eye on a GM 350 4 bolt main I'm going to take a look at it maybe this weekend. If some one need some part just let me know.

That's the first Quebec car I've seen to have original license plates on the front. QPP (police) seems more interested in vehicles leaving the scene than arriving these days!
Us stodgy Ontario types still have to mount license plates front and back.

Update for my Cougar. I swap a build 4 bolt SBC 350/powerglide. I also redone my roll cage & made a heavy duty front clip. Here is what the car look like.
