I really do, I can't wait to make the trek home(400 miles) and try to do it in one tank. Of course ill bring a little jerry can with me.

I also ended up finding the plug for the power mirror switch haha.

I've got a new Rack and Pinion in the mail. Mine has zero, literally zero dust boots on it. I have no idea how long it has been like that. And the inner rods are making a bunch of knocking noises. I figured for my own piece of mine pick up a reman rack, and be done with it. My current one is probably filled with dirt and salt anyway. Front is going to be so tight!

I'm still looking for 13" alloys, if anyone wants to hook me up.

Talk with kartracer or eurotiva, they both have experience with racks.
An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.

Well, went to start installing the suspension, cut the first aspire spring, then noticed the top of the spring is broken! So mad. It was hidden by the rubber thing. Now I need to grab another spring from the yard tomorrow! Any upgrades I could get in terms of a spring? or should I just get another aspire spring?

                  More progress! and pictures.

I swapped out the front hubs, but had to leave the festy struts and springs for now. Worked out alright though. Had brought some junkyard tires and rims too but they ended up being severely out of balance! anything above 55mpg is insane. So that was a bummer. I was hoping to take the festy home this weekend but it doesn't look like I will be.

Now today, the hottest day ever, junkyard had half off day, so I grabbed a rear beam and brakes! So hot..

Had to hack saw the one strut on the aspire, and then fight with it to get the bolt out, but I finally managed to, man was that seized, I'm going to drench the new bolt in anti-seize.

Now I need some rims and tires. I might have found some Maserati mags that are 4x100 and 14x6, I hope the guy gets back to me they look amazing.
I'm going to ireland next saturday so stuff will be put on hold until I get back. Unless I feel like putting on the rear beam tonight, but I still don't have rims to put on so it will just be sitting on jack stands.

Oh also! how do you guys normally support the back of the fest with jack stands? I have it supported now where the stock jack is supposed to go but it looks sketchy to me.

So I planned on doing some work tomorrow, I went out and loosened some bolts, but you know how it goes. I just went to it!

                      The Beams!

I have to be honest, the aspire beam doesn't look much beefier. They look very similar except for one different stiffener on the drum backs.

                      No butt!

Okay, so my tires came in from tires-easy.com they shipped in 1 day! What the heck!

Hey guys, do you think I should paint my rims black before I get the tires mounted? I'm indecisive if I want to wait and paint them or just put them on and drive this thing!

Got bored so I threw the axle in.

Since I installed it tonight, when I was planning on doing it tomorrow morning, I might as well paint the rims, since I have the time.

Anyone want a really clean stock festiva rear beam?

The aspire has a built in sway bar.

                                Ahh yeah I saw that.

Anyway I just finished the swap, got the tires mounted, put them on. Started it...

It idles for like 2 seconds normally, then super loud clicking started, I think it spun a bearing or dropped a valve. Needless to say im pissed. Just put a ton of work into it, and I don't think I have the time to fix it. Ill post a video in a bit let me know what you guys think. If its serious, I may sell the car, I'm that angry.
