Looks good Dan! I feel your pain, I haven't done much either, but I normally don't anyway with my work schedule. Keep at it, I want to hear how awesome it turns out when you do get 'er up and running, I could use some more motivation as well.

Hit a small snag test fitting the exhaust downpipe today. The B6 pipe, wont fit the B3 exhaust support bracket. Guess i'll have to take it off.
Fixed!
Now I think i'll paint the exhaust down pipe. I have quite a bit of the VHT Flameproof 2000* ceramic coating left! :p

Ohh ... Yuuck....!
Broke open the Weber carb for rebuilding .... apparently it NEEDS it. lol
Yes, that is oil on the screws, inside the carb, and oil soaked gasket.
My B3 had oil issues, and was blowing oil all the time. I had issues with keeping it under control, before it died. The day it died, the oil cap came off and blew ALL the oil out the VC.
At least it was well lubricated.

This carb is an orig 32/36 Weber, and not the newer Holley-Weber, it has been around for a while. The carb's cast body was very dull (read ugly), so while cleaning it, I decided to give it a little poishing too.
On the left is the polished main carb body, and on the right is the un-polished top cover.

My weapons of choice:
The maroon colored pads are Metal Polishing Scotch Brite pads. Not the stuff ya buy for your dishes! They have grit embedded in them.
I use the popsickle stick with the pads to get in tight places.
I hit whatever I want to polish, with the pads first, to remove the dull oxidation, then follow up with the wire brushes. The wire brushes give it the "shine".Dan
