this car is getting expensive. I have to figure out if i just stop here, or just start building with no expense spared (within reason) I need about 3k more to have the ultimate (in my mind) festy. gawsh.

this is what i said at first it would be a budget build. Then after i had 900 into the rebuilt short block (not including forged parts, arp bolts) i decided to go all. I figured with all the machining, head work and balancing it would be a waste to do anything less. I have about 10k with labor and parts and i probably have another 2k with small odds and ends (hoses, gauges, fittings, gaskets). I was planning on building 2 festivas but at this point i may have to become a realist and only build one.

              Wow!!!! that is nuts!!!

i have a turbo miata race car (pictured earlier on in the thread) that could use a bit more financial support, for me its all getting a bit to crazy.

What i ideally need to do is buy a mazdaspeed 6 sometime in April or May.. I still dont have a nice daily driver im rollin around in a 323 gtx with more rust then metal....and then after that spend the rest of my cash on toys. I finish my degree in april, and start working full time in May. I have to be careful until then.

              YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

lol i know.... its crazy how much "real" vbands sell for.... thats why i didnt go with a vband turbo on my car was cost... i ended up buying a 5 bolt flange and welding a vband to that flange lol...

you can sort of see that in that pic...

I might have to sacrifice the ultra rare indy car vband collector and weld a flange onto it and do a similar setup as you, where did you find your t3? what you pick it up for?

Ive thought about a newer chinacharger but i just dont trust them.

i got my turbo used from a local civic forum... some guy not to far away was selling it for $250 and i thought that was a fair price for a good turbo so i picked it up... if you need any flanges, check out weirtech, they got lots of flanges and weld els for cheap canadian company too
