I'm doing an entire rebuilt on my B3. Engine has 183000 miles on it. Engine is in perfect shape when pulled out. Only problem was the seals have turned for the worst. I will be replacing all gaskets/seals and be probably boring out the intake and exaust ports on it. I'm glad I've been running a good oil and been using zmax and auto Rx in the engine. Valves and pistons are all within spec and see very little wear. I'll be using a high flow cat at a turbo muffler later when all is done. Total spent so far 70bucks for all gaskets, Another 250 for all other sensors and belts and other materials. I'm glad I have a hoist and a stand and a pair of extra help from my mechanic buddies. I'm hoping to put another 200,000 miles on this baby. I'm glad someone else is doing this on the b3 because the knowledge is priceless.

Thank you. Yes I do want to come up with a better solution for the intake

    COOL!!!

I think you could pick up some noticeable HP if you took a B3 EFI intake, plugged the injector holes and adapted a Harley Davidson CV carb in place of the throttle body. It hasn't been done yet...I bet that motor would scream though.

It looks and sounds great as is! Good job.

Yeah was worried my oil leak was behind the pump or something when I saw the oil on the floor but then traced it to the plug and the teflon stopped the leak so that was good

Sounds about right. I put a new Beck-Arnley on my B6, but it has a leak between the gear cover and housing. I suspected it had a leak, but I didnt know how bad, so I installed it anyway. Its just sitting in my garage for now, but as soon as the weather warms up, I'll change change the pump out.

What oil pressure does it run at start up and at a hot idle? Did you use a new oil pump? What brand?
