Re: My n/a super b3 build
Yeah I know it's bad. On carb engines it is because the idle jet will still feed fuel if air moves through the carb... So the fix is a idle jet solenoid that closes when you turn off the ignition. Zo I have one on its way plus I'm running ngk plugs and Matt said I need to run platinum and that may help a little with the dieseling because the ngk strap gets so hot they can cause some dieseling

Re: My n/a super b3 build
Looking at a flow master hp2 shorty for a resonator it's supposed to still give the nice low growl but take away the raspiness and quiet it down a little cuz seriously I love loud exhaust but I'm gonna get in trouble with this... It sounds like a race car ear piercing loud

I think it sounds great as is, but I don't mind loud exhausts myself as long as it doesn't sound annoying.

Also gonna check into my loud valve noise, talked to matt and he is thinking maybe my lash adjusters cant handle the dual spring so maybe it is collapsing the lash adjuster and causing the loud ticking.

Here is a video with the camera mounted on the back window near the exhaust. Guys tell me what you think, is it too loud? Is it too raspy? I kinda think its too loud... it echoes through the neighborhood.

Re: My n/a super b3 build
No prob.. It can actually happen on efi also, not 100% sure of the cause on efi though

Re: My n/a super b3 build
Dieseling is when you shut the engine off and it kinda hiccups and keeps running for a second or so... Its caused by detonation, when you shut the engine down it has no spark but the high compression is still igniting the fuel and with a carb it is still giving fuel from the idle jet because the carb gives fuel through air flow through the venturi, so they have a solenoid that screws into the idle jet and you supply ignition power so when you shut off the car it closes the idle jet and cuts fuel to the carb and stops the dieseling... Dieseling can damage things.
