Changed the spark plugs on the b3 ....probably the first time its been done. Was expecting a huge improvement since the old plugs looked like carbon incrusted rustballs but really, almost no difference lol. Before I put them in a put a tablespoon of atf in each hole...oldschool seafoaming, smoked like a b*tch! Im pretty confident it can pass safety check now and the swap can commence finally....

VRIS delete on the KLDE, cleaned up the intake. Installed one of the valve covers with an insane amount of silicone.

Update!

I bought a Mazdaspeed 3. Lol. Still love my festiva, but I need to make it ready for winter and ready for the road. I scored a mint 5 speed 1995 Ford Aspire with 129 000kms...the body has A dent in it but Im only allowed 2 cars rofl so either I gotta scrap the Festiva or swap everything from the aspire over to it. Decisions decisions!

Congratulations! I bought mine almost 2 years ago and it was "love at first drive" Did you get a Gen 1 or Gen 2


Swap everything from the Aspire over to the Festy, easy decision :thumbup:

I love my festiva, the aspire is nice and all but I spent years wanting a Festiva, not the egg. Its a 2013, black mica, no tech package. Its fantastic little car! Scares the crap out of me if I put my foot to the floor but if you just drive around normally its as sedate as any other car.

Sweet! I've got a Cosmic Blue 08 Gen 1. I love how they just keep pulling no matter what RPM you're at. It's like the car is always saying "C'mon sissy, I've got way more to give" LOL


If you haven't found it yet, check out http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/forum/ . There's a HUGE community for these cars and they have the answer to pretty much any question you may have. But be warned, you have to have a pretty thick skin if you plan on being an active poster over there :mrgreen:

I believe my username's defprun, just like fordfestiva.com. Did one WOT so far in it (car has 5000kms on it) 3rd gear to 4th and was doing 180km/h in a 60 zone. Woke me up rofl
