Lol it's cheaper to transfer plates then buying additional plate renewal stickers lol but I have been considering custom plates for the festiva

The Vehicle Licensing Office would probably refuse to print what I like to call my vehicle on the license plates. Even if it's abbreviated.

So I've put close to 10k kms on this thing already!!!! But I think I have an alignment issue in the rear end somewhere

I bet a rotted rear subframe might have something to do with it, although I haven't fully checked it out yet

Looks like I'll have to dig out my spare rear subframe and swap them out, although its not toooo much better but at least there's no holes in it

While I'm at it, I might as well get this all cleaned up and ready for paint/install

But this thing is so much fun to get dirty haha

Lately we've been getting some snow and this thing had become incredibly unstable on slippery surfaces, I did some investigating and seen how badly rotted the rear subframe has gotten, the TTL mounting point totally rotted away so it could move freely allowing the wheel to move as it please

So this Monday that passed I swapped in my spare subframe... 4hrs start to finish, not bad lol

Here's some pics of the damage

And one the other side of the subframe, it had a nice crack happening, my guess is from the added movement of the rotted TTL mounting point

Today I stripped down the rotted subframe so I can make space in the garage

Here is the old and busted complete rear subframe flipped and ready for disassembly

                              Sway bar removed

Then I pulled the long bolt out that holds the TTL's to the subframe, the center piece of the subframe fell out....

And to think I was driving it like that eeek when I put my body weight on the subframe, that crack grew wider meaning the subframe wasn't far from splitting into two pieces....

Unbolt the axle from the pod and it comes right off

                              Passenger side

                              And the center pod out

                              And the salvaged parts

All tucked away nicely with my AWD parts stash

That's it for today.... Tomorrow I'll test fit an AWD tranny on a KL
