  • Okay haven't had any luck finding a bell housing but been doing some other number work and lots of reading.. Okay so my lift is at 7" right now in the very last pic I posted that would be 12" lift with it jacked up and almost all the angles are perfect the cv angles little steep at 35 dagrees but only 3 dagrees more then they are now sitting on the ground, stearing rack I'll need dropped and a sway bar link thang made, if I go this route I'll get rid of the blocks compleaty (will make a lot of you guys happier) and go to I think 20" long springs 10" of travel with aspire break swap. I think it would be just as safe and just a little more expensive to do a 12" suspension lift then a 7" lift

but what do you think just do a 7" suspension lift that I know will bolt on or 12" with just a little more work? Ether way it will be around $1500 to do and a feeling of satisfaction when done; I'm staying with 30" tires ether way just FYI

      • I had bought a aireaserch t3/t4 turbo for it the other week but a guy made me an offer for it so it sold lol so I'm looking at throwing on a powerstroke (only low boost) so it won't have to work hard and so it holds better boost over a higher amount of rpms

I went to a junkyard yet again to find a bell housing but the 2 festys and aspire there were 2 auto the other only the bell housing was gone... Just my luck.... but I did manage to get a new clutch cable, perfect turn signal lights, inner cv joints, new flex plate ( mine was destroyed when the clutch went out), escort gt dome light, and a 100% rust free finder dint free finder making the rocker the only rusty part now!!! There is 1 more festy with in 300 miles I'll have to get the bell housing off of then my car will be done again!! I'll only drive it for a fue days then I ship out and my baby will ether sit or my younger brother will drive it.............0.o

I've also been looking for a way to eliminate the block lift all together and not many coil overs are 32" tall haha I'm still looking if you have any ideas let me know ASAP!!

        • What part of the bell housing do you need? This isn't like a C4, the housing is part of the tranny.

          • I went to a small town JY the other day and they had 3 aspires and a truck festiva and I was finally able to get a tranny for my car every thang was tight and the gears disinguaged and inguaged perfictly and it had a brad new flywheel whatch I took also for a whole $110 so on the 28th I'll finally be able to put my car back together and torque the fly wheel Bolts down properly this time! And it was the front part of the tranny I knew they were one piece I just didn't know what to call it

But I got paint and cleaned the tranny to be shiny so it will look pretty when on

              • Well today I finally got my hands dirty after my sexy festy broke down...

I pushed it into the shop and put air in to the tires and It's still hard to believe how tall it is haha but I got the old rusty finder off and a wasp greeted me with great happiness! Then I started to clean every thang!! I took the tranny and the valve cover and painted them red and it's one sexy tranny now! and I'm going to paint evey bolt on the tranny black to make it pop (pics tomorrow) and I'm going to paint all the little brackets and braces black tomorrow and scrub the engine bay spotless! I've seen your guys engion bays and I figuered IDE spend a little more time on the little things.

But I found a problem with the fly wheel bolt threads and they got screwed up so I need to retap then the next size up probably 1/2" ? Or you got any other ideas?

But working on the car was only short lived but productive cuz I had to go handfishing for catfish caught a fue 5lbs ones

I thought this was funny but when my younger brother got in the car he had to step up in to it! He is only 5'11" I'm 6'3" so it's not as bad I'll get a pic of me standing next to the car tomorrow so you can actually see the beast

                • I still got the stock size tires on the rear so with 30"a on it will sit 5" higher here we see it looks sexy with a red tranny I need to put the valve cover back on to match

I got the fly wheel and clutch back on torqued down to specs with lock tight and I'm working on the little thangs right now to get it ready to be dropped back in I could have it done today but I'm going slow to get it done right this time do it should be ready to go tomorrow is what I'm hoping!

                  • Got a little bored so I found some tires off the f150 and old international to test fit how big I can go! The f150 tires fit but need 1" wheel spacers to clear in inner wheel well on heavy bumps they are 27" tall and with spacers I might hit 30" wheels the other tires are 25" and thin so they fit perfict but ether way I go with the tires it looks pretty sick!

Along with messing around I got some work done, I got the barring a replaced on the cv shafts some more painting done and mounted the tranny mounts so now I'm just going threw making Shure every thang is ready to drop in

                      • The smaller ones I found in the shead are the same lug as the festiva the big ones of the f150 are 5lug but I wanted to test the fillment of I go that big but I think the smaller ones look better idk it's a tough decision

                        • Got a little bit more done so far today I got the engine back in the car but for some reason I can't get the passenger side motor mount to line up and been trying for an hour to get it but the other 2 mounts bolted up quick and easy it may be because the drivers cv isn't wanting to go in and is half way in could that be the problem for it not wanting to line up?

And now here is some eye candy!!
I got the valve cover bolts painted black and are on now
and I think the red tranny goes surprisingly well with it all

                          • Got a lot done on the festy in the past fue hours! I got it bolted in and all wired up but came to a snag it won't turn over by jumping it without a battery in it just makes a loud buzzing noise.. It turns over by hand out of the car but not in it and the starter is new so trying to figuer that out. But got more pics!
Forgot to do this earler but I measured to see how wide my wheel base is and I'm at 68" wide 5" wider then stock!! and still 14" off the ground front and 15" in front of the rear wheels!!

                            • Didn't get near as far as I wanted today on the car I finished connecting the cv shafts, radiator, other little connections, attached the new blue fender on the white car, and for the first time since lifting it the bumper guard and winch

Need only to relocate the battery to the rear, attach the shifting linkage, add fluids to radiator and tranny, and figure out why it won't turn over now cuz it worked fine 6 months ago when I started fixing it again

Zoom zoom this is for you even thow it was on there before I got her a year and a half ago

Some reason there's a lot less clearance but It clears by a hair

                                And next to the ATV
