It seems scary to me that thing even drives! Let alone with mismatched tires and a 1.8 swapped in! Yikes!

Yea its a work of art! And I'm just out to put peoples imagination to work to figuer out how it works. Haha its still puzling to me I got it right the first time with never swapping a motor or even pulling one out before I did this build!!! there are a fue thangs ide like to do still like add an actual A arm instead of the single controle arm and swap out the suspenshion with coil overs but ill do that after I get out of boot camp for the navy but once I get a new better clutch its only a test of time on how correct I did every thang... and the miss mached tires will only affect it if they are the same size across from each other

Still looks weird with the smaller ones in the back. Usually if they are offset it's larger in the rear!

That festiva doesn't look safe enough for a mud pit let alone being on the road, and you think it's worth $5k?!?!? :banghead: I wouldn't even pay $500 to put it out of its misery

I hope you don't kill somebody when your "lift" fails on you

I know its not worth 5k at all I just picked a number but there are stupid rednecks (like me) that would still pay 2k sence its a beater, lifted, and balls, but I havnt killed any one I stopp every so ofthen, check welds, tighten bolts, and so far the only problem is the clutch. And the rear main but I got rims for the back just need to get tires but the welds are good and the mettal I added was thiker and higher grade steal so they are just as strong but experimenting and trial and error is what makes are festivas are own it just might take me some time to get there is all

Road vibrations and the forces will eventually destroy those "spacers"

You should have made blocks to sit on the top of the struts instead, at least those would last longer and be safer

Yea I made them so they would last but I will only be driving it for a month or two as of now but could be sooner before I get shiped out to the navy and. Will be buying coilovers and upgrading to the aspire breaks after bootcamp what I did isn't a perminent thang just something fun ide like to try to see if I like the ride hight which I love cuz I only spent 30$ to lift it instead of the 1500$ to do heady duty coilovers and not like it and I don't think ill be pulling any one out of a ditch other then my self if I screwed up a weld that I haven't noticed yet

                    • I'm done with this thread, there's no saving that festiva from some of the worst ideas ever, it's hopeless

                        • are you trying to say some people don't deserve to have kids like some people don't deserve BP swaps..I love my own analogy but I actually disagree with it as long as no one gets hurt. So Damkid youre right. Its still skills he's getting better at although misused. if he is capable of that he's capable of making mounts for other engines for other people who do not have the facilities. it would be easy to insult the guy and ask him to go work for the Navy of other countries so the boats won't float but that is not the case he has nowhere to go but up
