That engine bay looks so pristine! Did you respray it?
Is that the factory lower rad support I see???? Gasp...
No respray, just lots of cleaning.
This is just the first phase of this cars build. The goal is to get it running and through emissions so I can register it, then I can drive it to the workshop. Then I'll modify the front support area, put new suspension on it and upgrade the brakes and wheels. I want to do track testing between every modification, to show the effects if each mod.
For now, I'm working in a storage lot with no power and barely enough room for my hoist between all my cars.

Now for the good stuff!
I built the basic long block and wrapped it up to transport it out to the car (in a storage lot on the other side of town). I'll build the rest of the engine at the car.Last edited by Advancedynamix; 02-08-2015, 11:52 PM.

Here is the stock 88 Festy harness out of Pedro. I've decided to just use it to power all the chassis stuff (lights, wipers, radiator fan, gauges and coil). I pulled it all apart and took out all the wires that I won't be using. I'm going to build a separate harness for the engine management. This way I can just unplug the engine management down the road if I decide to put a tunable system in, like Megasquirt or The Russians system.
I installed all the wires and untangled a bunch of stuff. Then, with all the wires going where they needed to be, I rewrapped the harness.
I then took the harness back out to finish wrapping it and make some alterations for the new unplug-able fuel injection.Last edited by Advancedynamix; 02-08-2015, 11:36 PM.
