        Rob,
        Do you use photobucket?
You can upload images there and just link them to the forum. Heaps better

I used to use tinypic but I don't have access to my desktop at the moment.. Does anyone know of an iPhone app that will let me host the images and give me the code to put in my posts?

It's really stormy in Perth this morning, can probably read something in the news about it. I didn't realise I needed the aspire tie rod ends and the one on my donor are thrashed so I picked some new ones up yesterday for $54 for the pair, I tried to bleed just the back brakes (aspire brakes on my Mazda) but my master cylinder is more rooted than I realised and I couldn't get any fluid to pump through so I had to borrow my housemates jeep lol

Had a look at the brake lines from the bias valve thingamy on the firewall to see if I could swap the lines to the M/c so I don't have to bend mine but one has the lines coming in from the top and the side, the other has it in the side and the bottom, if you know what I mean.. So I'd have to bend them anyway, started raining on me so didn't have time to check if swapping the brake bias thingamy itself would be a viable solution.

My car slipped off the jack when I was swapping the axle and I didn't notice the hole in the fuel tank that was seeping until the next morning lol, chucked a screw in the hole with a rubber gasket. My tank is straight bolted up but the donor tank is held in with straps with a bolt on one end and a hinge on the other.. Bit of a headache but nothing I can't deal with.

Decided to rip the exhaust off the donor because i dunno if the b5 engine pipe with the o2 sensor will bolt up to my mid pipe.. I guess that means I'll end up running the cat, dunno if I'll have to modify the rest of the system, probably just shorten it if it's from a 5 door

Thanks for the encouragement, so I found a gap in the rain and managed to swap the m/c booster and brake lines... I was getting rained on and wasn't looking properly last time, only had to bend the brake bias ends of the aspire lines from 135degrees to 90degrees and it all fit up fine, managed to take a wheel off and crack the tie rod end before it started raining again and I had to pack up

Also the 1.5 auto booster is a fair bit larger than the Mazda one, it fit up to the holes but the lip just touched the firewall, I just cranked the nuts down as tight as I could and it all seemed to mate together quite nicely

Any idea what 5 speed box comes with our Aussie 1.5 festiva? And is it an upgrade lol.. Also is the engine crossmember an upgrade for our cars?

I massaged the lip on the firewall with a hammer. Got it to fit nicely enough.

But I used a 323 protege booster and a Kia Rio mc (I think the rio mc is the same as the aspire one)

So I was just cross referencing suspension parts at http://www.australianautomotiveparts..._Catalogue.pdf and noticed that they only list a ball joint for Mazda DA 121, but they only list a complete arm for WA and WB ford festiva.. I'm wondering if it's because the Mazda part is serviceable and the ford part is a throwaway unit.

I also noticed they state that there is only a 10mm difference between WA and WB control arms and if either is too long to use the other part... Hmmm I might have to go off and calculate what camber that will give me

                          It says ball joint,
But I'm pretty sure it's the complete control arm because the ball joints aren't serviceable

For Mazda it lists BJ330 BALL JOINT, WA Festiva is BJ4310 ARM and WB Festiva is BJ4300 ARM

I'm guessing its just a difference between Japanese and Australian manufacturing standards that you have to replace the whole arm with the fords but I was more excited to see that the 10mm difference between WA and WB shouldn't give me too much camber and the manufacturer themselves pretty much says they're interchangeable

                              Buy the wa one.
If I remember correctly, the mazda one is more narrow where the sway bar bush goes and the bushes stick out.

Something like that anyways. I had fitment issues with my 121 stuff and I ended up buying new wa festiva lca's and it solved the problem - whatever it was- I only just started on the car again this week after 2 years off. Can't remember fine details of some stuff

the ones on my car are pretty stuffed and the ones on the donor are just as bad... theres a guy on gumtree that has a pair of WB newies for $40, if automotivepartsaustralia says theyre interchangeable ill have a go trying to make the donor ones fit before i buy anything. ~1-1.5degrees camber will be worth it

they come with the sway bar bushes.. if the thread is the same size on the swaybar it might just work... im also thinking about swapping the front sway bar for radius rods, if i remember correctly galant/lancer/sigma radius rod brackets unbolt from the chassis
