Hell e85 is everywhere here . 100 low led is available down the road from me to.
We have it everywhere here too, but the nice part of tuning for gasoline, you can get it anywhere, if you run out of meth, keep your boost low till you can refill, but you aren't stuck, plus you get more miles per gallon.
    No car too fast !

    • That is true! And you don't really know what your getting with e85. I hear the blend can vary greatly. We also have pure gas here witch I run in my 2 smokes and stuff that sits around with limited use. It's pricy but worth it .

      • ill stick to gas. if i have to drop to 18 psi so be it. I will do my best to tune it for max psi tho. Who doesnt want more power. the car is meant for autocross anyway. ill throw the water meth at it if i need to. 1st tho is the tune gotta get it set just right. I tried to work on it tonight but my solder gun didnt want to work. im gonna pick up a new one tomorrow and get the wide band fixed and going then i finish the tune saturday.

        • Last night i was able to check the wide-band. It is for sure bad. I have another unit but its all mounted in Lucifer and the cable is slightly different. So i decided to cut the connectors off and swap them. Put my good sensor on the bad sensors cable. Well my solder gun would not get hot. I guess its done for. I got good 10 years out of it. Ill pick a new one up tonight and finish soldering and shrink wrapping the wires and give it a test.

Also to note that the old tune was very close. It only had a very slight amount of detonation. I think with some tune work i can get the car to run the power i want! I will work on it tho. If i get the tune sorted out soon im going to put the nitros back on her. I wanna see what this car does when it hooks.

          • Do you have cam gears on it? If so, retard the intake by 2 degrees.

I do not. But this winter i will. Gonna give the white car a better fighting chance for this winters project. Not sure how deep i want to go but i will be doing something.

              • I could use some help with the bp build. I dont know much about this motor so the mods i would pick would be based upon popular choice (which is normally wrong).

I know i want to change up the cams/heads (which ones tho?)
ARP head studs while im in there
Cam gears to be able to finetune.
ATI damper to give some hope

Thats about all i am thinking but i have no clue what to do to it really. Might have a custom intake built to flow better. Heads ported by a shop to help flow (or the new heads might do that already).

Still no clue on this stuff. Opinions are welcom.

                • i dont know why anyone would want to limit themselves to either e85, or pump gas and water meth. i say do both. i plan on mixing 5 percent water into e85 in my gas tank. e85 should support up to like 16 percent before the gas seperates out. if e98 is distilled with methanol, you should have infinite water mixing ability because alcohols. but the ideal maximum water compared to gasoline volume for cooling is at like 25 percent. which puts you closer to a max water to ethanol mix ratio of like 17 percent water, 83 percent alcohol. so only 5 percent water in lets say a 550cc injector, only totals out to be like a 27cc of water injection per cylinder at max injector duty cycle.

Yeah i just want to stop in at the gas store and fill up and drive. Once overkill is only a track car then i can look into maybe race gas only tune. But street driving it she needs to be flexible.
