  • I think i will spend the extra time to go ahead and paint the trans white as well. I cant stand not painting things when i already have them apart. I will clean the trans tonight and get it ready for paint. I have to.

      • Yeah. until i pull the motor to swap it ill just stick with all white. Later on i might go with a different color but for now all white it is.

        Gonna dip the car some green or orange color. So having a nice white interior and engine bay will look decent. Plus it will show me were all my leaks are...

                • I like it. Dark areas of the engine bay are where the lost nuts and washers run to first. You're giving them no place to hide, so maybe they will just submit and stay where you want them.

                    • Tonight i will bolt the trans to the block. Its gonna suck trying to do it while not messing up the paint to much. I will try to use cardboard when i can to help soften the contact to the paint. Im hoping to keep it kind of nice looking.

                      • I can't wait to see that thing bolted in place. I've always wanted an all white engine/trans combo but didn't have the guts to try to pull it off.

                        • I have not had a chance to get the trans mounted yet. I have been busy getting my audi ready to trade off. Ill be on the Audi again tonight. Im hoping to be back on overkill tomorrow night. At least the cheap paint has had some time to set up good and hard. I cant wait to see it.

                          • I did mount the trans to the motor last night. I have the int. shaft on and the starter. She is ready to drop in. Tonight i will install the new inner tie rods as well as the new outer tie rods. Once the steering is in place ill line the bay with cardboard and slip the motor in place. Gonna try to take my time and get it in there without beating it all up to bad.

                            However!!! I might not do anything at all tonight. As of right now i feel like crap. I have had a lack of sleep lately and my right hand is really shaking pretty bad. I have been really stressed out at work and with getting my cars built and with getting my audi taken car of. Just been to busy latly with no break. My new job treats employees like crap for the first 3 years with little to no vacation. Im super close to relaxing but not quite there yet! So im hoping im just needing some sleep!
