Old 155/12 tires may not have enough grip to flex the Rio Axle. Lol.

What day job? I thought that all you do is wrench on Festivas and drive 'em really fast. Do you make money on bets at the track?

                • So my random torque steer is gone. The LCA fixed it right up. I have not checked toe since my core support and bumper. It was out quite a bit. Now the toe is very close to 0. I set it and the car is pulling nice and straight. Need tires now but she's doing good.

                  • I have now changed both control arms. The car feels much better. I now have a constant vibration tho. I think i need to rebuild my int. shaft bearing/replace the shaft or something. With the shaft all bolted down and the axle in place i can grab the inner most portion of the axle and wiggle it. Not sure how much that comes into play tho. All splines have slop in them but i dont know how much these are allowed to have. I think when my bracket ccame lose and i drove home with the int. shaft hanging and flopping around it might have messed it up. When i turn hard left i get what feels like a bad cv joint. All else is tight.

I will have my festiva store bushing in soon. Will replace them asap. Also swapping to the rio rack this weekend and will then redo the front end alignment.

                    • I wonder if you're experiencing axle bind. If the tranny isn't moved far enough left, the right axle will bind when turning left with negative camber.
This is the reason I had to shorten my passenger side axle and IM shaft on Tweak.

                      • It's axel bind ! The drivers rail isn't bashed at all they bashed the passenger side. It needs to go like and inch to the left.

                        • Or use an aspire LCA... Which will cause toe out on that side.

                              • You need to make mounts for that trans anyhow , rears a festiva mount with 1 bolt! Lol just position it where you want it when you make your mounts man.
Then you can use a spaced festiva mount on the passenger side and make it look nice.
