  • Not much has gone on with overkill lately. With the new house deal going on i have been focused on that as my #1. Overkill has new plugs gapped to 22 and is ready for some tuning. I was gonna tune Sunday but it was storming. I hope to do some tuning soon tho. I will be working on getting the suspension dialed in this week/weekend. Gotta have the car ready for the 1st race. My work trip will put me back in town Friday. Saturday is lakestiva, and Sunday is the race. That should be a fun weekend.

    • Started to adjust the tune on overkill a bit. Its still not doing good. Its derivable i guess. Remote tuning with me behind the wheel is just a bad idea. What i really need is local guy to come look at it.

I feel the same way. My biggest issue is starting and cold idle. I tear starters up.

        • I turn key to on. Fuel pump is on a switch. I have a fuel pressure reg. I let it sit a good 30 seconds. As i turn the key i start pumping. 4-5 pumps and i stop and let the starter do work. I i hear nothing i stop and try again. Normally fires up good unless its like 30° out then its gonna take a good minute to fire up (feels like it).

            • I self tuned the car a bit this weekend. Carlos told me to adjuct the map loading to make the car right at 11-11.5 afr under boost. I did the best it could. I still have a bit of work to do on it but i think its not bad. My main issues are light throttle im rich. And under super heavy load i go to rich. I need to adjust them a bit but not really sure which box to adjust for each. Ill have to keep playing with it.

              • That's where MS wins, with the autotuning.

                  • It's a lot easier on a dyno. You can see which block is causing the problems. Do you have a load bearing dyno close by? DynoJet is not the best choice, but if that is all you've got, it's better than open road tuning.

                      • Just did the very first truly straight pull in overkill! It felt so good to hammer down and go straight and put the power down. Carlos has the car turned down to just 15psi at the minute. Which is totally fine as its safe now and i dont have much to worry about.

Cant wait for race day next weekend.

                        • Awesome!

Have you had a chance to bring it to an empty parking lot and feel out what the chassis does? You'll want to have the lift oversteer figured out.
