Festiva. The offset in different because a Z car is rear wheel drive. The tires stick out a little but who cares it only a track car. I can fit alot wider tire with them. Im going to try to save up for the Nitto NT01 in a 205/55/14. Those should do the trick.

This morning my son and I pulled the engine out of the car. Came out real easy with my son working the hoist and me guiding it.

You didn't even have to pull the hood. Dang your good! Just an FYI, I was told that the CV joints may be "clicking" so you may need to look into axles or joints down the road.

Well I havent done much to the car since my last post. Plans have changed a little. I blew the motor in my GL a wile back so the B6 went in it. I have a Bp now for this car but still havent aquired the Aspire swap. I dont think Ill be doing much to it untill spring. I think Im just gona race my white car next season and try to finish this car right so Im not pressed for time in the spring. Im deffinatly not working on it now.

So the other day I was driving my LX and I see an Aspire broke down on the side of the road.I stoped to see if I could help. The guy said it just died and doesnt seem to be getting fuel. The first thing I asked was the button question but no it wasnt tripped, anyway we put a fuel filter in it and it fired up. I gave him my card and told him to call me if he needed help. On his way he went. Two days later I get a call and he says the fuel pump went out and he doesnt want to spend 200? on a new one. He askes me if I know how to do a helicoil in a spark plug hole on his s-10 blazer. I said sure and he said he would give me the Aspire if I do it. I drug the car home last night. So here a picture of my racecar "Swap"

So the plan is to swap all the suspention to the Auto-x car including the lower arms and cv axles. This should give me the 1/4 wider track. The real reason for this is because the axles in the Festiva are bad and the Aspires are good. Im also going to use the motor and tranny and I will just swap intakes from the Aspire motor to a Festiva intake. I will use the 1.3 untill my BP is ready to go. That way I can atleast practice and dial the suspention in where I want it.
Im excited to get back into this project after being at a stand still for a wile. More pics will be coming as I work on it.

p.s. the Aspire is real straight so if anyone needs body parts for an Aspire let me know by PM

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

If you use the Aspire control arms you might have trouble with your axles popping out.

Let us know how that works, I would think it would throw everything out of alignment.
