my buddy let me put his slicks on my car but i still spun all of 1st and 2nd cause my car wouldnt stay still to burn out.... the slicks are work out (showing chords on the inside edge) but ignoring safety i ran a 2.19 60 foot i managed to pull of a 13.568 @ 105.827 and with a 2.230 60 foot managed a 13.599 @ 106.803.... i cant wait to get a set for myself... im hoping for 12's not looking too far off... his integra pulls a 1.9 60' on these tires... next week im gonna see if i can get a few friends to hold the car to do a proper burnout







edit: i also stripped my interior and it tipped the scales at 1860lbs!!! with me out of it of coarse

Congrats! Nice times............every bit as fast or faster than most new performance cars, and for a fraction of the cost and with better fuel mileage. The best part is you know you can do even better with a good launch. With 1860Lbs and a trap of 106.8 you should have a solid high 12 second car!

what about setting the parking brake? My dad has a line lock for the front brakes in his f-150 lightning. I imagine it would be about the same thing, I could just be out of my mind though.

line lock is great for rwd but for fwd if it drags with the e-break there is nothing you can do about it except for what he mentioned earlier and have a brave friend hold it back while you warm em up

I use the e brake for every burnout....mine holds the car fine. I even stage the car on mine so the axles are preloaded with the cluch mildly slipping.

FWD line lock = 2 buddies with a piece of 4X4 on a rope to chock the rear wheels.

e brake is set...the back tires just drag they are 215/40/16s so i have no clue how to hold the car still... and yes it is my daily driver/only car i own...well that runs and drives any way...
the slicks are 205/50/15's

full slicks my buddy aired them down to 8 psi... seemed a bit low to me...
