If these street races are fictional tales or hear say then you can't be incriminated. So maybe we should start a thread labeled " fictional tales and hearsay" or "bench racing" or even " trips to Mexico". :p I have no problem with street racing. When race tracks are free and nobody has insurance then I might get upset, but probably not.Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

Well said Charlie! I figure if you use common sense and don't race in heavy traffic etc then what's wrong with a bit of fun on the street

If that is the case then... check out this fictional computer generated video of my car racing a Corvette, Charger and a couple Mustangs.
As soon as I shift to 5th I start to get pulled. I have the Probe 5th gear.

There's a road north of Walhalla (SC 107) known as the 107 Dragway. You have to drive through some curvy mountain road area to get there, but the straightaway you find is slightly inclined and just over 1/4 mile long with banks on either side and far away from any houses who might complain. Until recently, kids would race their cars there (the police would come watch) but since it's too far to have proper EMT response, they killed it off. You can still see the paint lines and a few tire marks up there. In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:

I can tell it's dogging you down, my car will pull an srt8 on the freeway (in my computer simulation software :p), but just barely. I love how you got in on the race with those mustangs, it's fun to line up behind a couple of cars you know are going to race and then blow by them both (on this super realistic video game I have) with a Festiva. Nice!In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:

When I said common sense, I meant just that, heavy acceleration to the speed limit is perfectly fine by me

its human especially male instinct to be competitive as long as there's cars and roads with human drivers there will be races!93 L B6T DD http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=37751

How about races with no traffic? Dont even start with that. More deaths occur from being on the phone or texting and all you get is a ticket. Why dont you start a hate parade against all the 17 year old girls that text and drive? They won't even deny they text while driving, they will actually boast about it. Ask me how I know.
