Where's the free booze? Lately there have been hundreds of people logged onto this site. Some sort of reincarnation or just another technical thing?

We've opened up some of the forums to be seen without registering, so I'm sure there's some Google Bots crawling a lot of the time... but we have some members that still check here religiously because they don't mess around with Facebook. I just ran upgrades of the forum to the latest and greatest version of VB... and I try to check in and be helpful where I can, but life is busy sometimes.

I noticed we were dead from 2014. I had a 93 L and I miss it. I had a few other cars since and I want another Festy. I check in here and log on occasionally. Festy Folk lately arent even sparing a Festy for sale in WI for super cheap. its all $1,000 parts cars.
Still searching for a decent 5spd festy! ):

I remember DudeinBlue? Freshtiva?, SimonTuffGuy you are OG still kinda here., Maxtiva, WTFestiva from like 2014 when I had my Festy. i think at that time i needed 500 bucks in brake overhaul and rusted driver floor and clutch cable was loose.

I remember another few Users with the color blue in name.

Good to know a few die hards still out there.
Festivas appeal to a broad spectrum of folks from racers to 747 collectors and everyone in between. I'm still hoping to contribute with a write up on my upcoming B6T car. Sad to think it may fall on deaf ears. Speaking of 2014 that was the year I became a member. I did notice a steady decline from that point on. Coincidence?
                  LoL......
'88 Festiva LX 5 speed, A/C, Carb, restored $$$ body paint, badly wrecked @ 200k.
'93 Festiva L, 5 speed, Aqua, bought from the original owner,.Zero rust but very nasty otherwise. Awaits the B6T.
'91 Festiva L, 5 speed, bought to drive while putting the B6T in the '93. now B6ME powered.

I still log in just about every day but I'm 78 and down to one Festive and past my expiration date, but I'll keep check in as long as I can.
Still trying to give parts from my Festia stash so spread the word to check with me to see if I have something you need for free.

I think a lot of things happened over the years that steered people away from the fourms... and with the Facebook group being an alternative (and, how many folks are on FB), it worked... this has always been, and will probably always be a great historical lookup for a lot of things. Since I've taken over ownership a few years ago, I've tried to keep it running, and updated to the latest version of VB and all that.... Festiva's have been in my life for 34 years and even though I don't have one currently, the itch is always there.

Glad to see people still lurking.

I'm senior in age (78) but not in membership (2010). Bought my first Festiva new in 1990 (which is still in great condition and now owned by another aging member).
Just sold one of my two Festivas to a younger member a couple of months ago and also just helped a friend who is not in the best of health (a youngster at age 65) sell his.
I'm still in good health but I know that wont last forever, so I'm trying to pass the stash of Festiva parts in my garage on to younger folks.

So you young folks better get those parts before all the old guys with parts stashes croak and those parts get carried off to the dump.

Yes, the forum is like a ghost town, 1 response on 5 FS ads in a week. Looks like my parts will just go in the trash. Sad.

I lost access to my original account and have a bunch of issues. I miss the Forum and the people/discussions in it but Facebook is just so much easier on a mobile device. I try to jump on here every couple of months to see what is going on though.

I just got back from Madness which made me think to jump back on after I mentioned how 1990new saved me one once during a trip up to Madness a few years ago. Thanks Jesse!

I don't use FaceBook and never will have one. Well, I can remember many years ago here FF.com were reasonable popular but it went south already about time for most people already move on with FB.
