After the perspective (to buy) Teal 1992 Festiva got dug out, we got it run!!! Good news, the pulley on the front of the crank was not wobbling, so even though it has the narrower diameter shaft (built Oct 1991) looks like the crank is good.

But it was still frozen to the ground, grunt more work. I got the sparkplugs out and #2 and #3 had the worst carbon buildup that I have seen, compression in those 2 cylinders were ZERO, #1 and #4 had 150 lbs/sqinch

Maybe today we'll get it out of the hole.

Out of the hole the Teal Festiva did come yesterday, helped with a chain hooked on a pickup.

It is not a smokin' ride, but at least runs on the 2 cylinders and smokes a lot.

I was able to drive it up and down the street in 1st and 2nd gear, shifted fine! So I went out on a road with a 45 mph limit and got it easily into 3rd, 4th, and even 5th while going down hill! Since our Yellow Festiva has: (1) poor 3rd gear sychros, (2) a bad speedo-gear and speedo-drive-gear, as well as (3) a clunk sound in the transaxle I decided to buy the Teal and I have a preliminary deal set for $200.

I'M NOT LETTING THIS ONE GET AWAY!!!! The 2 cylinders were not enough to get the Teal Festiva back up to the owner home, so I pulled it into my yard.
