man, my 'puter takes a dump for 2 days, and this is what i come back to..... it's very sad.

Brian, you do what you need to do, but consider all the lives you and DJ have enriched by running this sight. if it comes down to you having to leave, for whatever reason, please at least allow someone else to pick up the torch and keep this alive. i know i would personaly go nuts without this place.

Step back, take a deep breath, and walk away from it for a bit. we'll hold down the fort till you get back.

What ever problems there were in the past that got you upset can be remedied. For instance, new members should have their own "initiation" sub-forum for a certain amount of time before they can get the green light to go on to the other forums. This will resolve any spammers trying to create accounts, and weed out the idiots. Also, within that forum should be a sticky with all of the forums rules so everyone is educated before entering the main forums.

Just my suggestion, I feel those things will eliminate many of the problems and frustration for Brian and the rest of the mods.

I'll have to agree with Jim.... you just need a break man... get your mind away from it all for a while- whatever it takes.
I don't have the posts and knowledge that many others have on here, but this site has gained a high reputation, and you've built it. This doesn't even compare to some of the toyota, honda, vw, bimmer forums in terms of knowledge, reponsiveness, and quality of people. I know you see all the junk that goes through that we all don't see, but there is so much GOOD and reference material on here that makes this site so valuable.

Just do what you need to do. Everyone and I mean everyone has respect for you. I never met Dj (wish I had, he seemed like a very great guy)but you have done what has needed to be done. I know I'm not your favorite member but giving what you have up would be a big regret in the future. I have a feeling that after a week you'll be back fresh.

Lay back. Take a break, let the admins/mods take care of matters for a while. A day/months/a year....just don't sell off your stockade of festiva/parts. You'll be back.

Listen to the complete studio recordings of Led Zeppelin really loud. Either your head with explode with subliminal knowledge or you'll come back.
it'll do the 1/8 in 13.7, spin tires, and make all my drunk buddies giggle.

Brian, you have done a great job of running the site, take a break from it for a bit but definiatly don't give up on it. I think you would regret it later.

All I know is u r crazy in love with festivas and if you gave up this site, I think you might regret it!! I love you infinity dad. Lol, im gonna leave you with a REALLY cheesy quote...."Be optomistic, dont you be a grumpy...when the road gets bumpy, just smile, smile, smile and be happy!"

                        hey Brian,

just sit back, grab a 18 year old scotch and maybe an 18 year old too

and throw another neon on the fire

                        and

                        relax

and let us run the show for a while

or at least til the fire department shows up and we all get arrested for indecent exposure :p:p:p

I've been following the post and felt short of words until now.....

During our days, weeks, months and years...who ever we are or what ever we do...we experience tremendous ups and downs....in any case we always retreat and find solice in some place of comfort and security. If we would stop being selfish at the times we seek such refuge we would find that these places we seek are usually provided by someone else who's scarifice and commitment created such a retreat.

Weather it's putting our hand around a favorite tool, eating a nice meal after a hard's day work, or just beeming in pride about our beloved Festivas....It not just us that created such satisfaction...but countless other unrecognized heros that we may never meet....it's the long hard efforts and sacrifice put forth by these behind the scene heros that truely contributes to our satisfaction.

Maybe to many of us, me included, seek many things from ff.com....specifically refuge, peace and some sense on selfworth. And probally to many times we forget what it takes to keep such a place runinng. I've never said it before and I'm at error for not saying it sooner....but I'm eternally grateful to all the administrators and moderators who keep this site just as it is, specifically Brian who has ulitmate responsibility.

Next time one of us wants to create a problem, expect immediate results, or just want to push an issue for no reason at all....we have to remember how this site operates....if you don't know how it operates let me remind you how....It's free to us while a small group of volunteers insure our experience. Think about it....way to many of us are on the take and not enough on the give. To those of you on the give...specifically you Brian.....Thank You!

Of the two forums i am on, this one in my opinion, is the best. I check on this one several times a day. Why? Because it contains the best information and people don't make fun of you if you happen to ask a supposedly obvious or stupid question.
Hope you can take a little time off and everything will be better. I am pulling for you.
