Yep thats it. As long as you have a PP account, all we'd need is your email address thats tied to it. We just send you money for goods and services or whatever. Then if youve got a PP Debit card you can use it how you see fit, withdraw it or whatever.

OO OO Do share! My buddy uses his scissor jack to keep it in place. I gotta do plugs on mine soon.

Ok, I'll just temporarily post my email address here. I know it's usually frowned upon to post it on a forum, but I'm not too worried about you guys. For those who wish to donate, I think I'll buy a Christmas card for the family and put your names in it (if you want).

Also, I forgot to give a post test drive report. After replacing the wheel bearing - no more nasty noises! I took it out on the highway and it drives just fine(remember, I was afraid to go more than about 15mph before). The motor and transmission feel strong, and I didn't detect anything that makes me worry that it will blow up anytime soon. Hopefully they will get several more years of use out of it.

So here's everything that I put in.

        Intake gasket set - $86
        Wheel bearing/hub assembly - $127
        Spark plugs - $17
        Thermostat - $7
        Oil and Antifreeze - $20
        Oil filter - $3.50
        PCV valve - $3
Fuel rail O-ring - $13 (major ripoff from the dealer!)
2 lug nuts that were missing(not on the same wheel) - $5

I also got a couple tools(you can never have too many!) I didn't have an inch*pound torque wrench so I got one of those at Sears. I also needed a set of claw foot wrenches to reach two bolts on the lower intake. Happy Birthday to me!

Its not a lot, but I'm hoping others will contribute as well!
As I said before, I prefer this to giving to "charities" I never have any idea if my money went to people who needed it or for "overhead"!
          Thanks
Glad you got it back on the road for her!

I just wanted to say thanks again to everyone for their support. We(you) raised a total of $75 to go toward the parts!

I let my wife read this thread after people started chipping in. She was very touched(except for bhazard's comment about this gal being single ) that people would be willing to do this. I am as well. My wife said she will never again make fun of me for being on FF.com!

After she took the van out for a test drive, she couldn't believe how quiet it was. She said she couldn't remember a time when the wheel bearing didn't make that noise(not good!). Now her kids are mad at her because she won't let them turn up the radio. She wants it turned off so she can listen to the sweet silence. I think they probably cranked up the radio before to try to drown out the wheel bearing noise.

Again, I just want to express my appreciation. You guys are great!
                      Merry Christmas!
