I personally like the rusted hood . . .
On old rabbits and rat rods - a rusty hood on a new car looks aweful the paint needs to be matte or flat and the car has to look old or agressive to pull it off.
A propper rusted hood is no easy task - you have to prep the hood (shave the paint. Then you need to apply a oxidiser or let it sit for a week. After you have a complete surface rust accross the whole hood you need to prep the surface again and then apply a sealer (to stop the orange streaks)

If you put a rusty hood on that truck I will beat you - now a fox` petinea would look sharp
of course a flat black festy with 15" whites with primer red stealies and pinstripes would look sharp
