    I personally like the rusted hood . . .

On old rabbits and rat rods - a rusty hood on a new car looks aweful the paint needs to be matte or flat and the car has to look old or agressive to pull it off.

A propper rusted hood is no easy task - you have to prep the hood (shave the paint. Then you need to apply a oxidiser or let it sit for a week. After you have a complete surface rust accross the whole hood you need to prep the surface again and then apply a sealer (to stop the orange streaks)

I was just talking about the pile of rusty hoods I have laying around...LOL

Now, if you want to get a second Festy and do it old skool rat rod style....we're the guys you need to be hanging out with

This will be our next rat rod project
If you put a rusty hood on that truck I will beat you - now a fox` petinea would look sharp

of course a flat black festy with 15" whites with primer red stealies and pinstripes would look sharp

^^ No way I'd put a rusty hood on my unibody baby! It's hard enough to find one without rust!! She'll be getting bagged and a nice coat of HotRod Flatz

Flat black - Fire engine Red steelies - Rusted hood - and do the Round Headlight Swap and that will look sharp - I like the stance already

and i'm starting to like my nasty 12"s, they seem to go with the "style" plus tires are CHEAP

You could just go with a set of vintage 13" steelies off an old 6-cyl Falcon or Mustang. Then you could run the "dogdish" hubcaps. Doesn't someone here has a picture of just such a thing?
