Most common "on the road" emergency repairs?

I had the center of my water pump pulley break out in the middle of nowhere in the state of Kansas.
I have had a fuel pump lay down on me at work , I replaced it there .
That's it for laying down on me and creating precious downtime .

I keep a spare (new) fuel pump , alternator, coil assy. belt, water pump pulley, in the car at all times .
I also keep a full set of tools , and non crimp connectors , fuses- for in car and fuse box under hood.
Elec. tape , zip ties ,several flashlights , fix a flat in a can , extra stuff that I will probably never need , but maybe someone else will .
And 1 full size spare tire .

timing belt..... been there, done that. only takes 6 tools to do it and about an hour if it's your first time.

My kit includes:
Lighter fluid...matches...rain ponchos...rope...flashlight...first aide kit...adjustable wrench...10 in one screw driver...dykes...pliers...bailing wire...cable ties...electrical tape...fuses...pocket knife...rotor...cap...ciol to dist ignition wire...a qurt of oil....jumper cables...rags...voltmeter...window cleaner.

Not sure I'd use that slang around a large town. Hey, I live in Columbus, and I've worked at the Wexner Center for the Arts.

I'd get a good 18" strong arm to go with the socket set. I somehow bent the tire iron with my (former) 140lbs frame by trying to get off a flat.

You need to add anti-seize to your friend list!

Wheel bearings & the huge 20something mm socket needed to replace them...

I've only done that twice. A little preventive maintence is good.

Did someone allready post fusible links/replacement fuses

^^ Yes I did , I forgot about my first aid kit bag and the jumper cables , wax, tire dressing , window cleaner ,lube stuff ,and the Festiva repair manual (factory) and a Haynes , extra wire .
A call Police sign for the windshield ??

I've had vacuum lines come off on the MR2 crucial enough to shut the whole car off at a stop. My friend with his Swifts have had coolant hoses into the firewall blow off before too.

I say in my oppinion.

Battery, coil, fuel pump, disty, alternator, starter.....i rarely ever have a flat/blow-out.
