  • Just wondering....

I read that the B6 motor is basically a bored out B3. IF this is true, will a B6 head & turbo fit on my B3 block?

how diffrent? can you drill them out? do they go in to the oil ports?

I sold a early model head to FFW, and he said something about the ports being different...

That's what I'm going off of.

not so, early b6 heads work the same as the b3 heads, passages and all.

Once again "The Search Master" comes through. Jeez guys it isnt difficult. You just have to ignore your ADD tendencies and be willing to do a little reading.

Heres one where ketchup was wondering about doing the opposite.

Looks like early 1st gen B6s will work though. I think if I remember reading correctly on later ones the cooling and oil passages dont line up and arent even very close. Theres a thread around here somewheres that has some comparisson pics and it was a pretty noticeable difference.

OK, here's an update. The head does not have a turbo! It's just the head w/ intake. Does that change anything?
